FAQs

Have Questions? We Have Answers!

Absolutely! Our Highlands are bred for gentle temperaments and socialized from birth. They’re easy to halter-train, thrive on human interaction, and adapt well to families, 4-H projects, or first-time ranchers.

Mini Highlands are primarily companion or hobby animals, though some owners use them for small-scale, grass-fed beef (yield: ~30% of live weight). They’re not dairy cattle but can produce enough milk for family use.

Yes! Our cattle come from certified pedigreed bloodlines ideal for breeding. We offer free guidance on pairing, gestation (9 months), and calf care. Note: Micro Highlands are often sterile—ask us for details.

Most U.S. states classify mini cattle as livestock or “hobby farm” animals. Check local ordinances—we’ll help you navigate requirements! Urban areas may require permits for backyard herds.

Our Mini Highlands average 36–48 inches tall at the shoulder (300–800 lbs), while micro Highlands are even smaller at under 36 inches (200–500 lbs). Their compact size makes them ideal for small farms, backyards, or hobby herds.

We partner with USDA-approved, climate-controlled transporters.
